As at 25 June this year’s ride has raised over $194,000 with a further $17,500 due in dollar matching by Macquarie Group and The Myer Foundation. A big thank you to our riders and their sponsors for their generosity and to our wonderful Support Team of Claire Allen, Michelle Jocum, Phillippa Talbot, Andrew Taylor, Barry Irvin and Judy Soper.
Over the past 13 years we have raised over $3 million.
Money raised will go towards the $5 million needed to cover the gap between $10 million that it will cost to run Giant Steps Sydney and Melbourne and the $5m expected to be received from government. The 2016 bike ride helped enable Giant Steps Melbourne to be financial in its first year. In 2017 Giant Steps has enrolled additional students in Sydney and Melbourne, built a new playground and will be adapting to the introduction of the NDIS.
You are still able to sponsor a rider by making a tax deductible donation either through Everyday Hero or for donations above $500 by making a direct deposit by contacting Michelle Jocum at
